Help our friends of prey thrive in the urban wild.
The Los Angeles County San Dimas Raptor Rescue is a wildlife rehabilitation center that is dedicated to the rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned birds of prey. Our facility takes in 200 to 250 birds each year, and proudly return them to the wild once they are able to survive on their own. Our ability to feed and care for the raptors is dependent on donor support. The San Dimas Raptor Rescue is permitted and authorized by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the US Fish and Wildlife Service.
We invite you to be a part of the efforts at the San Dimas Raptor Rescue by investing in an opportunity to celebrate and commemorate your community. By making a tax-deductible donation, you will be contributing to the rescue and rehabilitation of hundreds of Southern California raptors. Thank you for considering to support the San Dimas Raptor Rescue through the Los Angeles County Park Foundation!
Participate in a legacy of habitat rehabilitation and urban wildlife.
Welcome to Los Angeles County Parks’ first Raptor Rescue, located at the San Dimas Nature Center! With this rescue, we are meeting a huge void and need for wildlife rehabilitation in Los Angeles County, particularly in the eastern and southern portions of the County. Since receiving State and Federal permits, the Raptor Rescue has quickly adopted over 70 raptors into our program! The Rescue anticipates serving more than 250 injured or orphaned raptors annually, all of which will be rehabilitated and returned to our urban wild. With your partnership, the Los Angeles County Parks Foundation is embarking on an active fundraising campaign (launched July 20th, 2024) to support and sustain the Raptor Rescue.
